Exxaro Resources has been announced as a Top Employer for 2026 by the Top Employer Institute for the fifth time, securing an impressive 89.49% overall score and marking an improvement from the 83.39% score achieved in 2025. This recognition reflects our commitment to excellence in our people practices and organisational development areas, reaffirming the strides taken in delivering a compelling employee value proposition, and enabling a supportive and empowering work environment where employees not only succeed, but thrive.

For the 2025 certification period, 2278 organisations participated globally in the accreditation process, spanning 6 continents across 26 different industries. In the mining industry, 31 companies participated globally, with Exxaro being one of the seven that operate within the South African context.

Showcasing resilience, excellence, and industry leadership, Exxaro achieved a top score of 100% in eight attribution areas being business strategy, people strategy, organisation and change, work environment, employer branding, learning, purpose, and values as well as ethics and integrity. These positive results cement Exxaro’s position as a learning organisation that provides its employees with an experience anchored in strong leadership, growth opportunities and a positive company culture.
